Yes! In Alberta, dental hygienists are primary health care practitioners separate from the dentists. They are governed by the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta. You do not need to see a dentist or seek a dentist’s permission to see us.
At Floss Bosses, our fees are at or below 2019 Alberta Dental Fee Guide, depending on the treatment. At this moment dentists are guided by 2022 Alberta Dental Fee Guide.
Yes, we are a group of registered dental hygienists with college and university degrees! Our prices are set to be accessible to our patients. Some procedures done at a dental office, like Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy, are too expensive to many even if they have insurance. The co-pay is just too much. Refer to Q about co-pay and fee guides.

This is why it is very hard for us to give quotes over the phone. One cleaning may include 3 different dental codes. At Floss Bosses, this is just like in a typical dental office.
At Floss Bosses we charge $67 per unit of scale. In comparison, 2022 Alberta Dental Fee Guide suggests minimum $72.84.
